This device connects to the CAN data network in your vehicle and generates an unique pin code push sequence by using the buttons that are factory-installed on your dashboard as well as the steering wheel. OBD port hacking
OBD port hacking is a new technique employed by professional car thieves to steal vehicles. Thieves can gain access to your vehicle's OBD with the help of a laptop, mobile application, and cables that can be purchased on the internet for less than PS50. Once they have access, they will be able to do anything they want to do, from resetting your vehicle's fault codes to tuning your car, or stealing it in under a minute.
It can protect your vehicle from being stolen by requiring a unique PIN code to be entered with your key fob before you can start the engine or drive away. It communicates with the vehicle's ECU (Engine Control Unit), using the CAN Data Circuit. This is completely undetectable by any scanners for RF or code grabbing. It also has a Service/Valet Mode that allows your vehicle to start without the PIN code.
To use an OBD hacking device, you'll require a laptop with software capable of interpreting the OBD protocol, which is available for less than PS100 on ebay or Amazon. You will also require a cable that has OBD pins that are connected to the CAN Bus. These cables can be bought on Amazon/Ebay around PS50. The cable has to be spliced into the wiring harness of your car, for example the radio wiring harness.
Once the hacker has a connection to your vehicles OBD port, they will send diagnostics to the system at a high baud rate that can crash the CAN and stop systems inside your car from working. This can cause the engine to stop or even lock doors, and even the brakes to activate.
